Venue – 20 Royal Blvd, Glenella
Hashers: 18 or so
Oh what a lovely run. 18 brave and dedicated Hashers gathered at Smut’s place ready to brave the streets of North Mackay. Considering the laziness/ ineptitude/ decrepitude of the body of runners, we did well to have about 12 on the run. The rest just settled into the home venue and did battle with the Esky. They won. With the help of the SCBs returning early.
The run went through multiple areas where your good scribe had never been before, and in all probability never will be again. There were drains, back fences, easements, dogs galore and finally a park . Here the Hare opened the backpack and served up a great concoction of Hash Piss which was rapidly drunk and then it was on on home.
Back at the venue we were treated to piss and fritters, followed by the circle. All the usual suspects had down downs, charges, jokes and finally the Hash song led by Blurry.
Dinner was terrific. Meat loaf, mashed potato, bread and butter and plenty of it.
After a few more beers we all packed our chairs, said our goodbyes and quietly drifted off into the night. Great run was had by all.
