On-Trail: The Misadventure Begins**
The pack assembled at Harbours abode with the usual mix of optimism and misplaced trust. Hare Harbour took the stage to deliver a pre-trail brief full of bold claims about “clear markings,” “minimal elevation,” and a “dry footwear guarantee.”
On the call of **”ON-ON!”**, the pack surged forward. It took less than ten minutes for the Front-Running Bastards (FRBs) to fall victim to a deceptively placed Check, scattering in every direction while the Short-Cutting Bastards (SCBs) wisely took a direct line toward the rumours of a Piss Stop. The Walkers successfully completed a 1km “leisurely stroll” that somehow included no pub stops before the runners had even found the back-check.
Grand Master Insex eventually dragged the pack into formation. Religious Adviser, our beloved Monk Smut stepped up to hand out cold brew and hot accusations after first giving us a history lesson about which escapes me. The Hare: Harbour was summoned for trail trial. Verdict: Guilt on all counts (too much pavement, bad flour placement, general incompetence). Down-Down! General Misdemeanours: – Zorro for being Zorro, Insex and Snot for being returning runners. There were others but weren’t all that important. Jokes told, song sung & circle closed.
Circle reopened for a Sympathy sip for Shafter the founder of executive lunches.
Circle concluded, the pack retreated to their chairs to refuel on a scrumptious chicken an rice feast followed by passion fruit slice and debate whether the trail was actually 1km or 2km. Or whether the fire needed more wood.
Next Week’s Run No 2592 is at 82 Grendon Street, Hare: Piccolo
