Run #2279

Date – 17/06/2024
Run – 2279
Hare – Snot
Venue – 19 Tern Street, Slade Point
Hashers: 17

A total of 17 brave hashers braved the bitter cold at Snot’s little blue house overlooking the wild North Atlantic Ocean, as the waves crashed over the seawall, blasting all the way direct from the Artic Circle, scattering Polar Bears and Seals in its wake….. well, actually, it was the calm Pacific with not a bear in sight, but it was still bloody cold.

At 6.05 Snot called the troops to attention and sent them off left right and centre into the cold dusk, and soon enough they all returned in dribs and drabs, muttering about the non-existent trail and bemoaning the piss stop, which no one could find.

Here’s an interesting fact…. As we age, we forget. You know, little things like “what did I come in here for”, and “what am I looking in the fridge for”, and “why did some of those LEtterS come out in capitALS?”and “what happened at HASH LAST MONDay??

Fact is…. I don’t remember. Yep, there was down downs for hares and other incalcitrants, Jokes and stories were told and as the night got colder the mob got closer to the fire. I do remember after the circle disintegrated into oblivion Snot and Insex produced a yummy brew of mince stew with spuds and garlic bread…. Very nice.

It appeared that not many were in a drinking mood, probably cause the cans were too bloody cold to hold. And then we all went home.

Next week it’s the old John Breen Park, where it’ll be “bring your own fire” on account of the local council won’t let us burn the playground down.

See yez there!
