Run #2298

Date – 28/10/2024
Run -2298
Hare – Daffodil & Corgi
Venue – Muller Park, Ooralea
Hashers: 24

Welcome to the run report for run 2298. 23 hashers gathered at Muller dog and railway park. The run was set by Corgi and Daffodil on a balmy spring evening. The only thing missing was the lack of a small cyclone and no rain.

The run headed off through the streets of Ooralea, around and around and up and down over and sorry, no under. There was one on back but no-one noticed it unlike the eagle-eyed hashers who never miss an opportunity to take an on-back.

It was well marked so no-one got lost, not even Lassie, so that shows how well it was marked.

The runners were treated to dips and bikkies.

The Monkee then called for the circle to be formed, and as usual it was done a snail’s pace with lots of talking but no-one listening.

The hares were given their down downs and did so with great gusto.

Charges were called for with Just Sandra, Harbour, Snot, and a few others hardly worth mentioning.

Jokes were told, one by flaps but it was too subtle for hashers to get, although Otto did say he did, a bit dubious though. There were a few others but I forget who told them.

Everyone was again reminded of our away run and that Matches mentioned that the Melbourne Cup sweep would be on again next Monday, so make sure you bring plenty of cash. A table has been booked at the Shamrock Hotel for next week’s Tuesday lunch. 11.29 instead of the usual 12.29

The song was sung the usual amount of gusto or lack thereof.

The food came out lots of beef stew and rice, very delicious it was too.

Next week’s run will be court of Flaps it will be an a to b run.  Drive in to the village follow the road over the bride first turn left and then straight ahead to the vacant area. See you all there.
