Run Date: 13th March 2017
Run No #1901
Hare: Corgi & Daffodil
Venue: Evolution Park, Maggiolo Drive, Paget
Hashers: 22
All gathered on a humid March evening at Evolution Park. Reports from the run was that it was Flat, Flat and Flat and Hot, Hot, Hot but well marked.
I think an Award will be in order for this run as the ‘smelliest’ run – has there ever been such an award? (no disrespect to either Corgie or Daf) but the smell wafting from the pond or trap area was enough to make your eyes water.
Usual down downs for jokes, Fork fished in her wallet for too long so took the down down and perhaps we will get to hear it next week. Screw told the loonnggeest joke. Down down for Lassie on the return of her red paton hat from the Red Dress Day, although suspicion in the camp as to whether it had been taken or whether she had left it behind, hey Lassie! On that note, The Red Dress Day was a hit and everyone had an awesome day. Proceeds are going to CQ Rescue, and we will know later in the week what was raised. Breaststroke still has the tins if anyone wants to donate, please be quick before they are handed in.
Committee have made slight changes to pricing for Hash each week: Only 2 options:-$10 includes 1 drink (alcoholic or soft drink) or $15.00 anything over 1 drink.
Fork & Screw were both presented with awards 350 runs for Fork & 851 runs for Screw, wow congratulations guys that is an accomplishment.
Breaststroke presented some haberdashery – male & female socks which she has had embroidered for the club. $15.00 anyone interested give her a hoy!
Lassie ran a raffle for her fundraising as she is participating in the ‘Worlds Greatest Shave’ this Saturday at Canelands outside Myers. Good on you Lassie! Please consider helping Lassie with a donation to help if you weren’t there last night.
This week you can help beat blood cancer.
Every day another 35 people will be diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma.
The money raised will provide emotional and practical support to families and fund vital research.
After that, Hash Song sung and circle closed. Corgie and Daffodil presented their Hash Nosh (how do they keep it so hot for so long?) beef & mushroom stew and also just beef for those that chose not to have mushrooms, (very thoughtful) all soaked up with slices of bread, Yum Yum, Chooks Bum!
