Run Date: 30th August 2021
Run No #2132
Hare: Half a Boat
Venue: Cremorne , Nth Mackay
Hashers: 24
This was the venue of the year! You could still hear the whistle of bullets from the bikie shootout , and there was the roar of police sirens and the thunder of big Harlies in the distance. Despite this, 24 intrepid runners gathered to commit themselves to the challenge of a super run through the mangroves and along the river.
Halfa appeared in Crocs; no mud and not a mark on them. Not a good indication of a challenging run! We assembled on Barnes Creek Rd and it was on on over the bridge. At the Southern end of the bridge there was nothing; no marks, no arrows no chalk. There was sweet FA. Some had a wander along the river, some did a loop around a city block, but most simply went back over the bridge to the piss. Probably then run would have won the award for the best chalk conservation. Ever!
A circle was formed, a few jokes, a few down downs , a sing song, and then a great feed. A few more beers and it was then time to head on home to Mummy.
Next Run: September 13. Prick. 1 Kenzey Street. ON ON.
